ORIGIN BY STEFFES

OTS Energy has worked with Steffes to develop Origin, an integrated, central water heating plant for multifamily buildings. This exciting work will drastically reduce the barriers to adopting heat pump water heaters in multifamily! We’ve provided heat pump, water heating, and system sizing expertise to help the Steffes team bring this idea to reality.

HIGH PERFORMANCE, HIGH CAPACITY HEAT PUMPS WITH BONNEVILLE POWER ADMINISTRATION

As BPA tries to improve their heat pump incentive programs and welcome efficient electrification, OTS Energy is part of the team conducting a large field trial into “High Performance, High Capacity” heat pumps. We’re supporting the project all the way through, from providing expert consulting on heat pump performance, through storing and analyzing years of data for dozens of field systems. This exciting work will continue through 2024. (updated link coming soon)

SHIFT THERMAL

Over the years, we’ve helped Shift Thermal model their innovative IHEX ice storage system in buildings to help improve building resiliency, save on energy and demand costs, and help support the grid. We continue to collaborate on control strategies to help end-users save even more.

ENERGYCRAFT BY MARKS DMW

When Marks Design and Metalworks were working on innovative heat recovery and energy storage approaches for the craft brewing industry, they brought in OTS Energy to help. Using Modelica simulation software, we helped save hours of engineering design and testing work to help them quickly narrow in on the configurations and control strategies to make EnergyCraft a reality.
